Oh dear, did I do that?

We have been battling sicknesses in our house for over a month now and Logan's nose has been running like crazy! One day, Kenny, Logan and I were hanging out downstairs in our family room and Logan's nose needed to be wiped.

So I said to Logan, "Should we get a tissue and wipe your nose?"

Well, he ran off to play and Kenny and I continued our conversation.

When we headed to go upstairs we found this...

...and this...

...and this...

...and sure enough, this...
Obviously Logan tried getting a tissue for us but sadly

1) the toilet paper roll just wasn't long enough

and

2) we weren't paying enough attention to our son's needs

A LITTLE ABOUT LOGAN
  • He is saying more and more words
  • He can sing almost the entire alphabet
  • He loves watching "Super Why"
  • He has recently started using the word "mine"
  • He loves to eat w"affles", scrambled eggs, "ishies" (Goldfish), ba"nana"s, and c"ereal"
  • He wants to do things by himself, unless he comes to ask for h"elp", pl"ease"
  • He is such a smiley boy
  • Sometimes he just loves the camera

  • He is a big helper around the house
  • We have girls and women constantly doting over our little "heart-throb" and his big, brown eyes
  • And now he's embarrassed by all this talk about him
  • Gotta love this little boy!

Fire & Ice and something nice

The first weekend in February we traveled up to Idaho for our nephew's baby blessing. Since it was Lava Hot Springs' "Fire & Ice Winter Fest" we thought it would be fun to stay Friday night and part of Saturday with my mom and stepdad in Lava.

Friday night we enjoyed some take-out Thai food and a soak in the hot pools.

HORSE RIDE
Saturday morning there was a man offering horse rides through town and when he was stopped outside my parent's apartment my mom asked if it was okay for Logan to sit on one of his horses for a minute. Logan seemed to enjoy his time on the horses and was fascinated with them. We even got him to sort of "whinny" like a horse. It was so cute!
CARNIVAL
Next we went to where they were having a kids carnival, however the flyers that were printed stated the wrong time--it was at 3pm which was when we were going to be leaving town. They were setting up some of the games and let Logan play a few before we left and even gave him a long-sleeved T-shirt as a prize. He had a lot of fun and pretty much the place to himself! :)
POLAR FLOAT
That afternoon they had the "Polar Float" where people race 1/4 mile down the Portneuf River on a tube. I think the 1st place prize was a weekend stay in Lava. I can't believe how crazy these people are--lucky for us we can stay right in Lava for free!

A BABY BLESSING
On Sunday our nephew, Jacob Len Monson, was blessed. He is James and Tabitha's second child and from what I've seen he is a pretty good baby. Tabitha is Kenny's sister.

I love this picture most--I was having a hard time getting a good picture of Jacob and he started getting upset. But then his dad took him and Jacob just calmed right down and got this peaceful look on his face. So sweet.

Here we are just hanging out at the luncheon afterward. Logan had fun playing with all the other kids and toys.
